Being broken is painful, but being broken is good;
It cracks the shell that separates and keeps us blind to the truth.
Being broken leaves us bare and vulnerable – it dissolves false pride;
It teaches us humility and compassion, and to see the other side.
Being broken binds us to others, and teaches all to nurture;
For when they rush to comfort us, we’re shown true human nature.
Fear and separation fade away, and we learn that we are all one;
Being broken does not break us at all, it makes us whole and done.
