Hello. My name is Indika and I am a happiness addict.
I love the feeling of happiness and actively seek it out every day. I have reached a point where I get my daily hit(s) more often than not and life feels good most of the time.
I wasn’t always this way. I would feel sad a lot of the time. I’d also get angry quite easily. But more than any of this, I would complain. A LOT. I had accepted these things as ‘normal’, but that didn’t make me feel any better. So I started looking for answers.
Thanks to a lot of wonderful writers and teachers out there and thanks to the love and support from my friends and family, I learned how to change my life for the better. A lot of the time, it had more to do with ‘un-learning’ things than it had to do with actually learning something new. It wasn’t always easy. But I did it. And if I could do it, I think anyone else could too. All it takes is a willingness to be open to new ideas and a commitment to putting what you learn into practice.
I am still a work in progress, but I feel much happier with my life now. The best part is, I know it can get even better and I’m slowly finding my way there. But my happiness is here, now – and not something I need to wait and hold my breath for.
